Great Director of Photography

Beautiful images. Larkin Sieple is the DOP and he has a pretty photographic approach. A lot
of photographers I know are also directors of photography which is also a really cool job.

He's kinda of a mix between a Ewok and a gremlin.

Dogs with 85mm

I'm not really into animal photography but I do find them funny to shoot.
They seem to really like me.

Last night having fun with flash and softbox.

My friend's girlfriend had a bachelorette party so he dropped by my place and since he was
here I just decided to do a couple of flash tests on the construction site next to my place,
nothing conceptual but I thought one was interesting.

Beer Can I just shot, oh and drank after.

I was just having a cold beer on my balcony and just thought it would be cool to just
take a shot of it with the 85mm 1.2, this lens is starting to be my favorite. No retouching
and it was just available light.

School starts.

So after 13+ years working in advertising as an Art Director and at the end as a Creative director I believed it was time for a change, seemed to me that I'm not as passionate about advertising as I was at the beginning of my career. I still have my own little 3 people agency and my biggest clients are Novabus and ONF/NFB.

I've always been really passionate about photography and as an art director my favorite thing was to choose the right photographer, go on shoot and art direct. Funny because sometimes the only thing I didn't do on a shoot was to push the button so that's why I decided to go back to school to get all the technical skills to be able to be a successful photographer, for me the whole conceptual and design aspect is pretty there since that was my job.

I believe that to be a great photographer you got to be strong technically and be really really strong conceptually. So that's why I'm going back to school and the more class I go to the more I know I made the right choice and the more I like it.
