ALP ass#3

1.What is your intention in terms of how you plan to use the available light?
I plan on using the available light as a fill and for the background.
2. What is the reason for your lens choice?(Do you want the compression of a long lens or the exaggerated perspective of a wide angle, fixed focal length or zoom)?
I will be using a fixed 50mm f1.4 Zeiss standard lens because I want a classic style portrait with no distorsion or compression. I want it to look like that's what we see with our eyes.
3. What aperture do you plan to use and why?  Explain!
I will use f11 or f13 because I want the background to be sharp, I don't want a shallow depth of field, it's too easy and expected.
4. What shutter speed to you plan to use and why?  Explain!
Since I'm shooting at f11-f16 I will need a slower shutter speed so I can get my ambient light in my shot. probably around 1 sec on tripod.
5. Do you have enough available light to achieve these camera settings?
Yes I do.
6. Do you have enough strobe to achieve these settings?
Yes I will use a ring flash 1000watt
7. What type of available light will you be encountering?
sun
8. How will you be addressing this mixed light situation?
I have a light color meter so first thing I will do is meter the ambient and depending on what I get I will put the necessary gels on my ringflash, also do 1 shot with a grey card
9. Are there any technical problems that will need to be addressed at the shoot or in post-production?
With my shot with the grey card I will be able to color balance in capture one.
10. What is the equipment you will need for the shoot?
Camera, 50mm lens, color meter, light meter, LB and CC gels, grey card, tripod, extension cords, laptop, pocket wizards, spare batteries, model, reflector just in case.
